Singer-songwriter Taylor Bickett performs live at Mission Theater in Portland.
Taylor Bickett plays the Mission Theater on Sunday, November 1, her first Portland date in a while. She's an Indiana singer-songwriter who's been writing music for as long as she can remember, and she'll be performing solo.
If you've come across her through TikTok, you probably know "QUARTER LIFE CRISIS." The 2022 indie-pop track became a viral sound, picking up nearly half a million fan-made videos and catching the attention of Drew Barrymore and Kevin Jonas. Since then, she's kept a steady stream of new music coming: the 2023 EP grown up and lonely, the 2024 single "I Like Mondays," and the 2024 EP This Isn't Me Missing You. She's toured widely with Ron Pope, Blü Eyes, and Andi and Áine Deane, so she's used to the road.
There's a heavier side to her writing, too. Her song "The Crime," inspired by a traumatic incident and aimed at ending violence against women, was due in March 2025. Between the singles and the EPs, she's been writing toward her debut full-length album, and this show sits right in the middle of that process. You'll likely hear a mix of the viral stuff and the newer, more personal material she's been working on.
