Concert by Spencer Krug, frontman of Sunset Rubdown and Moonface, with harpist Lily Breshears at Holocene.
Spencer Krug plays Holocene on Friday, October 16, with harpist Lily Breshears joining him on stage. It's an early show, and the set will pull from both new and old material, so you'll hear songs from across his career rather than just one record.
If you're coming to this as a fan of his earlier work, you probably know him as the voice and songwriter behind Sunset Rubdown and Moonface, and as a co-frontman of Wolf Parade. Over the last two decades, he's been a steady presence across more than twenty-five releases, and he's played in a few other projects too — Swan Lake, and on keyboards for Frog Eyes and Fifths of Seven. These days he lives on Vancouver Island and runs his own label, Pronounced Kroog, and he's performing under his own name.

Having Lily Breshears on harp adds another layer to the sound, and since the set mixes new songs with older ones, it's a good way to hear where he's been and what he's working on now. Doors open at 5 PM, and tickets are $25.97. It's a 21+ show.
