Free weekly night of soul, funk and R&B with Santiago LaRochelle & Friends at the Alberta Street Pub.
Santiago LaRochelle & Friends are playing Alberta Street Pub this Sunday, October 18, as part of the venue's Soulful Sundays series. The set runs from 9 PM to 11:59 PM, so it's a late-night one that carries through to midnight.
Soulful Sundays is a free weekly night at the pub, which the venue bills as one of the best-sounding rooms in the city. The series rotates through the region's best soul, funk, and R&B bands and DJs, so the sound changes from week to week. This Sunday, LaRochelle is leading the bill with a full band behind him.
The pub itself is an old-school watering hole in Northeast Portland that's been a fixture of local life for more than 30 years, trading first as Love Train and later as the Alberta Street Public House. It pairs local live music with locally sourced food, 21 rotating beer taps, and craft cocktails, and it's known for having one of the finest patios in the city. There's brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 AM to 3 PM, and something on the bill seven days a week.
