Riastrad headlines The Six Below Midnight on Saturday, October 10, with SPINA and Cabfighter opening. It's a bill that pulls from a few different corners of the heavy end of the spectrum—doom, sludge, and heavy rock—so the night should hold together even as the bands shift gears.
Riastrad is a Portland stoner/doom act built on molten riffs, a heavy rhythm section, and vocalist Paige Parker's commanding presence. Their self-titled 2026 album draws from traditional doom, classic heavy metal, gothic atmosphere, '90s grunge, and stoner rock, so you'll hear a fair bit of ground covered in one set. SPINA comes in from Bend, where they blend metal, doom, hardcore, and punk into what they describe as high-desert heavy sludge; they released their debut EP, ONE, in February 2026. Cabfighter is another Portland heavy rock act, drawing on classic and modern styles with their 2026 album The Sea Between Stars, which pairs heavy riffs and melodies with songs about struggle and survival.
Between the three, the evening moves from the high-desert sludge of SPINA to the heavy rock of Cabfighter and the doom-leaning sound of Riastrad. The night is presented by The Six Below Midnight, and it's 21+.
