Australian progressive instrumental guitarist Plini performs live at Revolution Hall, supported by Night Verses and Portraits.
Plini plays Revolution Hall on Sunday, November 1, at 7 PM, with Night Verses and Portraits opening for him. It's a stop on the North American tour following his third full-length album, An Unnameable Desire, which came out earlier this year.
If you're not familiar, Plini is an Australian progressive instrumental guitarist, composer, and producer from Sydney. He first made a name for himself with Handmade Cities, and he's built a following around a sound that's technically precise but still melodic, earning him a place in both the progressive and metal communities. He's known for fluid guitar work, cinematic compositions, and a genre-defying approach to modern instrumental music.
An Unnameable Desire pushes his songwriting into heavier, more experimental territory than his previous records, though it keeps the atmospheric and melodic sensibilities that have always been part of his work. The Portland date is part of the tour he's taking that material across North America.
