Mon Rovîa performs live from his 'Bloodline' tour with guests Sydney Rose and Sarah Julia at the McMenamins Crystal Ballroom.
Mon Rovîa brings the Bloodline Tour to McMenamins Crystal Ballroom on Sunday, October 11, with Sydney Rose and Sarah Julia opening. The set is built around his debut album, Bloodline, which earned him early attention from NPR and Pitchfork. He's toured it as a headliner since then, selling out every headline show he's played to date.
Mon Rovîa is the stage name of Janjay Lowe. He was born in Monrovia, Liberia, during the country's civil war and later adopted by an American missionary family. Now based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, he describes his sound as "Afro-Appalachian" — a blend of West African influences and Appalachian folk, built around ukulele- and guitar-driven arrangements that explore identity, trauma, and healing. The name Mon Rovîa itself is a nod to his birthplace.
He's built a significant following online, with more than 300 million lifetime streams, 2.5 million followers, and over 1 billion TikTok views. Spotify named him one of their Juniper Artists to Watch. He's also made his television debut on CBS Saturday Morning and The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Beyond the stage, he's played some high-profile benefits. He headlined the ACLU's Creatives For Freedom alongside Sheryl Crow, Maggie Rogers, Mark Ronson, and Joy Oladokun, and performed at the Children in Conflict annual benefit with Common and Natasha Bedingfield, hosted by John Oliver. Every ticket sold through his PLUS1 partnership adds $1 to the National Immigration Law Center. Doors open at 7 PM, and the show starts at 8 PM.
