Bristol-based DJ and producer Marco Strous performs his No Games Tour at 45 East, with support from K.Sull and Feral Frequencies.
Marco Strous plays 45 East on Friday, October 9, his first time performing in Portland. He's touring the No Games project, and the night is built around his set, with K.Sull and Feral Frequencies on support.
Strous is a DJ and producer from Bristol, UK, and his sound is a percussion-heavy style that draws on a family history spanning Portugal, Holland, and the Americas. He's played Fabric in London and Brazil's Warung Festivals, and has released on Chris Lake's Black Book, Michael Bibi's Solid Grooves Raw, and Claude Von Stroke's Dirtybird. Beyond his own records, he contributed to Bebe Rexha's "Chase It (Mmm Da Da Da)."
There's also a production side to his work that doesn't always get the spotlight: his sample packs and sound designs have been used by Drake, Gordo, Bebe Rexha, Fisher, Chris Lake, John Summit, and Skrillex. So while he's the one behind the decks on this tour, his work has ended up in the tracks of some of the biggest names in the scene.
