Kyle Gordon and his band take the audience on a journey through the history of popular music, one song at a time, blending concert, comedy and history.
Kyle Gordon plays the Mission Theater on Wednesday, October 28, with his band. It's a McMenamins presentation, and the night is 21 and over.
Gordon bills the show as part concert, part comedy and part history lesson. He and his band walk the audience through the evolution of popular music song by song, playing his hit songs alongside never-before-released tracks. It's an educational journey through sound that he describes as being as funny as it is informative.
The Mission Theater, which most of us just call 'the Mission,' has a bit of a story to it. It was originally home to the Swedish Mission Covenant congregation in the early 20th century, in a church dating back to the 1890s. These days it hosts live music, video dance nights and special events.
