Live electronic music night featuring Kontravoid, Buzz Kull, Sike Hellis, Normal Bias and Puerta Negra at The Star Theater.
Kontravoid headlines The Star Theater on Saturday, October 10, with Buzz Kull, Sike Hellis, Normal Bias and Puerta Negra filling out the bill. The night is presented by Hunter.
Buzz Kull is the alias of Marc Dwyer, who describes his sound as a mass of jagged synth lines and pounding drum machines. He's known for club hits like "Into The Void," "Avoiding The Light," and the biographical "Last In The Club." He pushes past the traditional darkwave archetype by leaning into pop sensibilities and exploring different emotional states, and his forthcoming LP, New Kind Of Cross, is due out via Burning Rose in the UK, Funeral Party in the US, and Avant! Records in Europe.
Sike Hellis, Normal Bias and Puerta Negra round out the rest of the lineup, so it's a full night of music rather than a single act. The show is for ages 21 and up, so keep that in mind if you're planning on bringing a younger crowd.
