Open mic karaoke night at Punch Bowl Social where guests take centre stage, hosted by Norm Leveille.
Punch Bowl Social is hosting Karaoke Night at its Portland location, and the whole point is that you take the stage. It's an open mic night, so there's no house band to carry the eveningβthe guests are the show. Norm Leveille hosts the session, and it's the kind of night where you grab the mic and rule the room for a few songs.
If you haven't spent much time there, the Portland spot is on the third floor of Pioneer Place mall, and it's the brand's largest location: a 32,000-square-foot space by the waterfront. The venue describes itself around "Endless Fun, Epic Flavor, Good Vibes," and it puts bowling, billiards, and darts in the same room as craft cocktails and shareable food. So if you're not singing, you've still got plenty to do while you wait for your turn.
Karaoke Night is one of several weekly happenings on their calendar. There's After Dark Saturdays, Weekly Music Bingo on Sundays, Trivia Night on Tuesdays, and Monday Funday, so if this one doesn't fit your schedule, there's usually something else going on during the week. One thing to keep in mind: the room goes 21+ after 10 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, which is worth noting if you're planning a late one with a group.
