HOG with Blade and Robots of the Ancient World

HÖG headlines The Midnight Society + Six Below Midnight on Saturday, November 14, with Blade and Robots of the Ancient World opening. It's a Portland bill, so you're getting three local acts on one stage rather than a touring package coming through from out of town.

If you're not familiar with the sound, the night sits right at the intersection of heavy rock, speed metal, and heavy psych. HÖG takes the top spot, and Blade and Robots of the Ancient World set the table before them. Between the three, the bill covers a fair bit of ground within that heavy orbit—the speed metal side leans into the faster, driving side of things, while the heavy psych brings in the more expansive, psychedelic textures. It's a lineup that keeps the energy high and the guitars loud throughout the night.

The show is at The Midnight Society + Six Below Midnight, located at 3341 SE Belmont St in Portland. It runs from 8:30 PM to 11:30 PM, so it's a late-night start that carries through to the middle of the night. With three bands on the bill, the music should keep going for most of that window, with the openers getting their sets in before HÖG takes over.
