Holocene transforms into The Bronze from Buffy the Vampire Slayer with live cover bands and all-night goth music by DJ Colin Jones, featuring a costume contest.
Holocene transforms into The Bronze on Saturday, October 24, for Halloween at the Bronze!, a Buffy the Vampire Slayer tribute that's now in its ninth year. The Bronze was the iconic nightclub in the Buffy universe, and the night is built around that: live cover bands playing gems from the show's soundtrack, followed by all-night goth music from DJ Colin Jones.
On the live side, Lesser Demons and Crowey take the stage to work through those soundtrack favorites. If you remember the music from the show, you'll recognize the songs they're pulling from. After the bands wrap up, DJ Colin Jones keeps things going with goth music all night. He's also known for his SNAP! '90s vs '00s Dance Party, so he's familiar with keeping a dance floor moving long after the live sets are over.
There's a costume contest with Buffy-themed prizes, and dressing up is strongly encouraged. The night is 21+ only. The organizers lean into the show's own lore with a quote from Cordelia Chase: "The Bronze. It's the only club worth going to around here. They let anybody in, but it's still the scene. It's in the bad part of town."
