Kevin Ryan and Brian Kehew present rare film, audio, scores and stories of George Martin and the Beatles at Abbey Road, with Sir George Martin in attendance.
George Martin: The Beatles Scores and More comes to The Hallowed Halls on Saturday, October 24, from 7:30 PM to 9 PM. The evening is presented by Kevin Ryan and Brian Kehew, authors of Recording The Beatles, and it's built around rare film, audio, musical scores, and stories from their work with Sir George Martin.
One of the highlights is a re-recording of classic Beatles orchestrations back at Abbey Road Studios in London, the same place where Martin shaped the band's sound. The night also brings in rare photographs and archival material, so you'll see as much as you hear. It's open to audiences of all ages, which makes it an easy one to bring the whole family along for.
