A lively dueling piano show featuring audience requests, sing-alongs, games and comedy at The Barrel Room in Portland's Old Town Chinatown.
The Barrel Room is hosting its dueling piano show this Friday, October 9, at 120 NW Couch St in Old Town Chinatown. It's Portland's longest-running dueling piano show, and since it opened in 2010, it's the only one still operating in the city.
If you've never been, the format isn't what you might expect. Rather than two players running through the same setlist for hours, the whole night works on audience requests. The music is mixed in with games, sing-alongs, comedy, and other interactive bits, so the crowd ends up steering where the evening goes. It's an adult show, and the venue serves food and signature cocktailsโone of which is called the 'Alicia Keys.'

The room sits in Old Town Chinatown, Portland's oldest neighborhood, a bustling entertainment and streetwear-shopping district along the west side of the Willamette River. It's the same area that's home to the Lan Su Chinese Garden and the Japanese American Museum of Oregon, so if you're coming from across town, there's plenty to see and do around the neighborhood before the show starts. The Barrel Room is at 120 NW Couch St, Portland, OR 97209.
