An all-request dueling piano show with audience interaction, games, and sing-alongs at The Barrel Room.
The Barrel Room is running its Dueling Piano Show on Friday, October 30, at 120 NW Couch St. It's an all-request night where the set list is decided by the crowd rather than a pre-set list of songs. Two pianists play throughout the evening, and the music is built around the requests you put in. Tipping the pianists can bump your song to the top of the list, so the order of what gets played changes as the night goes on.
It's not just a concert, though. Between the songs, the show mixes in games, sing-alongs, comedy and other interactive bits that pull the room into the performance. The Barrel Room has been running this show since 2010, and it's Portland's longest-running dueling piano showβand the only one still operating in the city. The venue serves food and signature cocktails alongside the music, so you can eat and drink while you wait for your request to come up.
