Dr. Brady Smith

Dr. Brady Smith brings his stand-up to McMenamins Mission Theater on Friday, December 18. He's a comedian who does exactly what his name suggests: he's a dentist who also does comedy, and he spends his time on stage demystifying the profession with no-holds-barred humor. If you've ever wondered what really goes on behind the chair, or if you just enjoy hearing someone talk their way through the inside jokes of a career most of us only experience from the reclining side, this is the kind of set that leans right into it.

His approach blends stand-up with insightful commentary, so the evening might shift between straight jokes, storytelling, and a more experimental theatrical format. It's less about a tight sequence of one-liners and more about a full hour of him working through the material. The show is strictly for over-18s, so keep that in mind if you're planning on bringing anyone younger.

The Mission Theater, known around here as 'the Mission', is a former church converted into a cinema pub and music venue, which makes for a more intimate setting for live shows. It holds about 300 standing and 200 seated, so you're not far from the stage regardless of where you end up. Doors open at 6 PM, and the show starts at 7 PM.
