Indie rock band Dogpark performs live at the historic McMenamins Crystal Ballroom in Portland, presented by True West.
Dogpark play the McMenamins Crystal Ballroom on Friday, November 13, their first Portland date in a while. The show is presented by True West and is open to all ages, so it's as easy a night to bring along whoever you want.
If you're not familiar with them, Dogpark got their start playing at the University of Richmond, their alma mater, before they moved on to sell-out shows across the country. Their sound draws on 90s indie rock, and their EP Breaking in Brooklyn came before further projects. That 90s indie touch is the best way to place them—think of the guitar-driven, melodic side of that era rather than the more experimental end of it. If that's your speed, this is a good one to have on your radar.
The Crystal Ballroom is a great spot for a night like this, and since the show is all ages, you can bring friends or younger siblings without worrying about a door policy. It's a straightforward bill: Dogpark taking the stage on a Friday night in the heart of the city.
