Demolicious: Champion of Champions

Demolicious: Champion of Champions takes over the McMenamins Mission Theater on Thursday, December 3, bringing together the monthly winners from throughout the year to compete for the title. It's the annual finale of Demolicious, the pitch event run by Josh Carter at the UpStart Collective.

If you've never heard of it, Demolicious is a monthly night where early-stage founders get a chance to practice their pitch, learn from one another, and potentially walk away as the crowd favorite of the month. Since its relaunch in 2024, it's grown into a stage for founders to showcase their boldest ideas. For this one night, the monthly winners return to face off for the Champion of Champions title, which comes with a belt, the bragging rights, and non-dilutive prize money. Ticket proceeds go to the winner.

The venue is the Mission Theater, known around town as 'the Mission.' It dates back to the 1890s, when it served as the home of the Swedish Mission Covenant congregation. Over the years it's evolved from a church into a theater-pub and event space in downtown Portland's West End Entertainment District. If you need it, there's wheelchair access via a ramp to a side entrance on 17th Avenue.

Doors open at 5:30 PM and the show starts at 6:30 PM. Tickets are $26.10.
