Hardcore punk band Comeback Kid performs at Dante's in Portland, supported by The Warriors, Dead Heat and Barrio Slam.
Comeback Kid play Dante's on Wednesday, November 18, with The Warriors, Dead Heat and Barrio Slam opening. It's a full bill, so the night starts well before the headliner takes the stage.
Comeback Kid formed in 2000 in Winnipeg, Canada, out of the city's underground music scene. Their debut full-length, 2003's Turn It Around, became a staple of the hardcore community, followed by Wake The Dead in 2005 and Broadcasting... in 2007. After founding member Scott Wade left, vocalist Andrew Neufeld took over lead vocals. The band released a live CD/DVD, Through The Noise, in 2008 and the album Symptoms + Cures on August 31, 2010. The current lineup features Neufeld on vocals, founding members Kyle Profeta on drums and Jeremy Hiebert on guitar, plus Casey Hjelmberg on guitar and Matt Keil on bass.
For this show, the band has added the note 'CHOSEN HELL'. They're sharing the bill with The Warriors, Dead Heat and Barrio Slam, three more acts to work through before they hit the stage.
