Manchester punk-pop pioneers Buzzcocks perform at the Wonder Ballroom with special guests Grade 2 and Whisper Hiss.
Buzzcocks play the Wonder Ballroom on Thursday, November 5, as part of their Celebrating 50 Years of Buzzcocks tour. They're joined by special guests Grade 2 and Whisper Hiss, with the night presented by Monqui Presents.
Buzzcocks are Manchester punk-pop pioneers who fused crisp melodies with Pete Shelley's biting lyrics and driving guitars. They broke through with the DIY EP Spiral Scratch in 1977, and followed it with the albums Another Music in a Different Kitchen and Love Bites in 1978. The band is listed as having played 18 concerts.
Grade 2 are an Isle of Wight punk trio who formed as schoolkids twelve years ago, fronted by Sid Ryan, Jack Chatfield and Jacob Hull. They returned with their self-titled third LP in 2023 and have played festivals such as Rock am Ring. Whisper Hiss also opens the bill.
