Concert by the alt-rock project Blondshell, led by Sabrina Teitelbaum, at the McMenamins Crystal Ballroom.
Blondshell plays the McMenamins Crystal Ballroom on Friday, March 5, 2027. It's a single-bill night, with Sabrina Teitelbaum performing under the project name Blondshell.
If you've followed her from the start, you'll recognize the sound from her first two albums, 2023's Blondshell and 2025's If You Asked for a Picture. Both were built around loud-quiet guitars and sharp songwriting, the kind of alt-rock that earns a New York Times tag like "an alt-rock supernova."
This show comes on the heels of her third record, Violins, which takes things in a different direction. It's a deeper dive that pulls from a wide range of influences: the jagged post-punk of Gang of Four, the melodic guitar pop of Teenage Fanclub and The Go-Betweens, and the smooth, late-night feel of Sade. The lyrics nod to Leonard Cohen and Pavement, so the set should pull from both the quiet, textural side of indie rock and the more direct, guitar-driven stuff she started with.
