Halloween edition of Betty, a quarterly queer dance party with high-energy dance and techno music from local DJs, spooky fashion and a six-hour run.
Betty returns to Holocene on Saturday, October 31, for its annual Halloween edition. If you've been around the queer dance scene here, you know the name: Betty is a quarterly queer dance party, and the Halloween one is the biggest of the series. It's a 21+ night, and the music is high-energy dance and techno, with DJ Sanro and Veruca on the decks.
Because it's Halloween, the party leans into the holiday. The organizers describe it as a queer community gathering with models and spooky fashion, and they're bringing in local PDX talent for the music. The night runs for six hours, so it's a long oneβplenty of room to settle in and dance rather than just popping in for a set. If you're planning a costume, there's one specific rule to keep in mind: they ask that you don't bring any toy weapons, implements, or dangerous props with your outfit.
