Beaumont Cribbage Club

The Beaumont Cribbage Club is back at Tomorrow's Verse Taproom & Bottle Shop this Saturday, October 17, and every Saturday after that. It's a weekly cribbage tournament in NE Portland, and it's open to anyone who wants to play.

They pitch it to three kinds of people: those who already play cribbage, those who are cribbage-curious, and anyone who enjoys pegging jokes that stopped being funny about 30 years ago. If you know the game, you'll fit right in; if you've only ever heard of it, this is a low-stakes way to get your first few boards under your belt. The timing is something to keep in mind if you're planning your Saturday. Registration runs from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM, and the tournament kicks off at 3:00 PM. The whole thing wraps up by 5:00 PM, so you're out in time for dinner or whatever else your evening holds.
