A Heathen Halloween: A marionette show and poetry reading with John Shirley and Adam Bolivar

John Shirley and Adam Bolivar bring a marionette show and a poetry reading to Rose City Book Pub on Saturday, October 31. It's called A Heathen Halloween, and the two of them share the bill. The marionette show and the poetry reading are the two halves of the evening, so you'll get both in one sitting.

Shirley and Bolivar are the names on the bill, and they're the ones on stage. The show is built around those two elements—the puppets and the poetry—and it's all happening under the Heathen Halloween title, which puts the whole thing right on Halloween night. If you're looking for something to do that evening, this is one way to spend it.

The show is at Rose City Book Pub, 1329 Northeast Fremont Street in Portland, and it starts at 8 PM. It's free, so there's no ticket to worry about. Just show up at the pub on Fremont Street and you're in.
