6LACK performs his 10 Years of 6LACK Tour at the McMenamins Crystal Ballroom, with support from Eem Triplin.
6LACK plays the McMenamins Crystal Ballroom on Wednesday, October 21, as part of the 10 Years of 6LACK Tour. He's bringing Eem Triplin along to open the night. The tour is produced by Live Nation and marks a decade of music from the Baltimore-born, Atlanta-raised artist.
He's billing this as an intimate live experience that pulls from his entire catalog, not just the new stuff. That means songs from FREE 6LACK and East Atlanta Love Letter alongside Since I Have A Lover and his fourth studio album, Love Is The New Gangsta, which came out May 22 via LVRN/Interscope Records. If you've been following him since the early tapes, you'll hear those early records; if you're just getting into him, the new one will be front and center.
That new record, Love Is The New Gangsta, finds him stepping beyond the alternative R&B that first put him on the map. He's working with a wide range of collaborators on it, including Young Thug, 2 Chainz, Leon Thomas, Odeal, and AZ Chike. It's a five-time Grammy nominee's fourth full-length, and it pulls in voices from across the rap and R&B worlds.
