Violeta Vicci & Bruno Bavota: listening & ambient improvisations experience

Violeta Vicci and Bruno Bavota bring their Be Human experience to The Market Hall on Friday 11 September, a night of live ambient improvisation that takes its name from their debut collaborative album. The two perform as a duo, and the set is built around a conversation between piano, violin, voice and electronics. It's an instrumental-led evening, though the voice plays its part alongside the other sounds.

The music blends ambient soundscapes, contemporary classical and improvisation, and the duo describes it as an intimate listening experience that invites audiences to slow down, reflect and connect through music. Much of that comes from the improvisational side of things — the set draws on spontaneity, emotion and a shared creative language, and stems from the album of the same name. Rather than a strict reproduction of the record, it's an evening of live playing that lets the pieces breathe and change in the room.

On the practical side, the bar opens from 6pm and doors are at 7pm, with the performance starting at 19:00. Tickets are £25, which includes the booking fee. The venue is The Market Hall on Duke Street in Devonport, Plymouth PL1 4PS.
