The Way We Live: Designing Cities of Tomorrow is at The Box on Friday 25 September, from 6pm to 8pm. It's an interactive panel led by Professor Katharine Willis that asks how research and innovation are shaping the cities and communities of the future, with a particular focus on the role people play in that process. The whole thing links back to the EU Mission: Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities, so the conversation will be around sustainable urban living and how citizens can help create resilient, inclusive places.
The evening is split into a few distinct parts. It kicks off at 6pm with a short talk and a panel discussion, which sets the scene and gets the debate moving. At 7pm, it opens up to an audience Q&A, so you'll have a chance to put your own questions to the panel. After that, there's time for networking and informal discussion, which is a good way to keep talking with the people you've just met.
It's part of Voyage of Discovery, the University of Plymouth's European Researchers' Night, a free festival of science and research running across Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall. That's part of a pan-European initiative funded by the European Union to bring science and society closer together, so this is one of many events happening around the region that night.
