A cake decorating class led by Rebecca of Fancy Pants Cakes & Bakes as part of the Summer of Expression programme at The Box, Plymouth.
The Box is hosting a cake decorating class on Wednesday 23 September, part of the Summer of Expression season running through the museum's galleries and exhibition spaces. The session is led by Rebecca of Fancy Pants Cakes & Bakes, who'll guide you through decorating a small sponge cake with brightly coloured icing and professional finishing techniques. All the materials are provided, and you take your edible artwork home with you when you're done.
It's open to both beginners and experienced home bakers, so you don't need to have a kitchen full of gear or a portfolio of bakes to join in. The whole point is to be a beginner and give your brain something different to think about, rather than to become an expert in a single afternoon. It's as much about the process as the cake itself.
