Songs. nobody asked us for

Queen Izzard, The Curve and The Ragdolls are playing The Roundabout Pub on Friday 2 October, from 7.30pm to 11.30pm. It's the second night in the Songs nobody asked us for series, a run of live music showcasing original songs written and performed in Plymouth and across the South West.

That's the core of the whole thing: original music. Rather than a night of covers, these are bands playing their own material, and the series is set up to support local songwriters and performers getting their work in front of an audience. This is the second event in the series, so it's a continuing thing rather than a one-off.

Three bands share the bill. Queen Izzard takes one slot, The Curve another, and The Ragdolls the third, with each getting their own set across the evening. All three are part of that South West original scene the series is built around, so you'll hear three different takes on original songwriting in one night.

The pub is The Roundabout Pub on North Hill, PL4 8AQ, and the music runs from 7.30pm through to 11.30pm. Entry is free, so you can just turn up on the night.
