A celebration of the Theatre Royal building on its 88th birthday with memories, a film quiz and a free gig with Jon Fazal.
Save The Royal are marking the Theatre Royal building's 88th birthday on Saturday 25 July, with a free afternoon of music, memories and a film quiz. It's a celebration of the building itself, and the whole thing runs from 13:00 to 18:00 at Derrys Cross, Plymouth, PL1 2AU.
Throughout the afternoon, you're invited to share your own memories of the place and chat with the people working to save the building from demolition. Their aim is to turn it into a new community event space, so it's a good chance to hear what they're actually proposing and ask your own questions. There's also a film quiz to get stuck into, which should keep things lively while the music is going.
The music comes from Jon Fazal, who plays from 15:00 to 18:00. That's three hours of live music to carry you through the second half of the afternoon, so you can drift in and out of the conversation and the quiz as you like.
Every week we pick ๐ the 5 best ๐ things to do in Plymouth and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
