Pink Floyd: The Dark Side of the Moon Immersive Experience comes to The Market Hall on Friday 4 September, a 360 audio-visual celebration of the album's 50th anniversary. It's not a gig in the usual sense—there's no band on stage—but rather a surround-sound and projection experience built around The Dark Side of the Moon.

The whole thing takes place inside the venue's 15m immersive dome, which wraps visuals and sound all the way around you. It's the only one of its kind in Europe, and it's designed to transport you into the music rather than having you watch it from a distance. If you've spent years listening to the record on headphones, this is the version that puts you inside the sound.

The Market Hall itself is worth a mention if you haven't been. It's a Grade II listed 1852 building in the heart of historic Devonport, once the area's bustling market and now restored by the Real Ideas Organisation. The dome is the centrepiece, but the building does more than just host these experiences: there's event hire space, changing exhibitions, a modern co-working workspace, and a dog-friendly café serving vegetarian food. It's a proper community hub, not just a venue for one-off shows.
