Open Day - Postgraduate - Arts University Plymouth

Arts University Plymouth is holding a postgraduate open day on Saturday 25 July, from 10am to 1pm at their Tavistock Place campus. It's run by the Student Recruitment team, and the whole morning is set up for people thinking about postgraduate study to walk around the facilities and get a proper feel for how the place works.

What makes this one a bit different from a standard open day is that it runs alongside the Postgraduate Graduate Shows 2026. That means while you're there, you can see the work coming out of the MA courses across several disciplines: painting, drawing, sculptural installation, moving image, design, and ceramics. It's a good way to see the kind of things students are actually making, rather than just hearing about the courses in a brochure.

For a bit of context, the university describes itself as 'a new kind of Art School since 1856' and offers creative BA, MA, and post-16 courses. 2026 is its 170th anniversary, and it started out as Plymouth Drawing School. It's been named University of the Year for South West England at the Whatuni Student Choice Awards in 2024 and 2025, and it was the top-scoring specialist arts university in the UK in the National Student Survey from 2022 to 2025.
