A monthly creative making evening to make, play and create with your hands; all materials provided.
Make Something Club is back at Stitch & Splodge on Wednesday 22 July, the next instalment of their monthly creative making evening here in Plymouth. It's a straightforward setup: a dedicated night to make, play and create with your hands, and it runs once a month, so if you miss this one, there'll be another shortly after.
The best part is that all materials are provided. You don't need to turn up with a kit bag or a shopping list of supplies; everything you need to get started is already there on the tables. That takes the pressure off, too — you can just show up and start making without having to plan your project or buy in materials you might only use once. Whether you've got a specific idea in mind or you just want to see what happens when you start tinkering, you're covered.
Because it's a making evening, the focus is on the process rather than the result. It's about the doing — the making, the playing and the creating — and doing it with your hands. It's a good way to spend a few hours away from a screen, working with physical things and seeing what you can come up with. And since it's a club, you're making alongside other people, so there's a social side to it as well as the creative one.
