Chilled evening vibes with live music at The Box Kitchen & Bar, featuring singer-songwriters from the South West.
Live Music Fridays are back at The Box Kitchen & Bar in Plymouth for three dates this August: Friday 14, 21 and 28. Each night runs from 5pm to 7.30pm in the South Hall, so it's an early one that finishes well before the night has properly set in. The series focuses on singer-songwriters from across the South West, with a lean towards folk, blues and roots.
Kate Hall takes the first slot on Friday 14 August, and she blends indie pop, R&B, soul and blues. On Friday 21 August it's Jamie Yost, who grew up in Devon and has played the Cambridge Folk Festival and the View Stage at Boardmasters. The final date on Friday 28 August brings in Plymouth's own Calvin Thomas, who writes music described as honest and poetic, drawing on folk, blues and punk.

Throughout the evening, the bar serves drinks alongside homemade focaccia and beetroot hummus — with or without olives — and other snacks. It's cashless and stays open for the duration, so you can grab something to eat and drink while the music is on. Tickets are £3.00 and are non-refundable.
