Free outdoor music session at the Amphitheatre in Plymouth City Centre, featuring Chainska Brassica, Yonder Folk and Olly Skinner.
Live at the Amphitheatre is back at The Amphitheatre on Saturday 11 July, the first of three open-air afternoons planned for the summer. It's a free series of concerts in the city centre, running on the second Saturday of the month from July through to September, so if you can't make this one, there are two more to follow.

The 11 July session brings together Chainska Brassica, Yonder Folk, and Olly Skinner, with the afternoon sponsored by Moxy Hotel. It's a mixed bill that pulls from a few different directions, and because it's open-air, you can drift in and out across the afternoon rather than committing to one stage all at once. The series as a whole mixes festival-style music, emerging artists, and theatre, and this first date sets that tone right out of the gate.
If you're planning your summer, it's worth keeping the other dates in mind too. On Saturday 8 August, Town of Cats play with Iris Lee, and the series wraps up on Saturday 12 September with SunDogs, Badcore Horns, and Ruby Thomas. Each one falls on the second Saturday, so it's a fairly easy pattern to remember if you're keeping a running tally of what's on in the city.
Everything takes place at The Amphitheatre on Armada Way, PL1 1HY, with the music running from 15:00 to 18:00. Entry is free, and it's an open event for anyone who wants to stop by for a bit of live music in the open air.
