Single release show of Plymouth singer-songwriter Kate Hall, blending indie pop, R&B and soul.
Kate Hall plays The Junction on Saturday 18 July, a single release show that marks her first headline date in Plymouth since her new track Easier came out on 15 July. It's a local one, too — Hall is a Plymouth singer-songwriter, and this is her bringing the new material home to the city.

Easier features drummer Max Williams and guitarist Charlie Smith, and since 2024 Hall has been recording and performing with a full band. The set will lean on that fuller sound, blending indie pop, R&B, soul, and blues, with the piano-led pop she's known for. Her influences sit in that soulful, singer-songwriter territory — Amy Winehouse, Olivia Dean, Fiona Apple, and Jorja Smith — and the new single fits right in with them.
It's a busy year for her. In 2025, she played the View stage at Boardmasters, the main stage at The Great Estate Festival, and the main stage at Little Orchard Cider and Music Festival, and supported Fickle Friends here in Plymouth. This summer she's back on the festival circuit, with main stage slots at Rock Oyster, Kernowfornia, Morvala, The Great Estate, and Plymouth's own Sound Factory Festival. BBC Introducing in the South West has been playing her, too, naming her Track of the Week, including her in their Best of 2025, and listing her as a Featured Artist.
Clare Robinson of the Plymouth Herald has described her as "one of the region's finest new young singer/songwriters", and this is a good chance to hear her live in her own city. The show runs from 19:00 to 23:00 at The Junction, 6 Mutley Plain, PL4 6LA, and tickets are on sale through Eventbrite.
