Guided tour of Home Park Stadium, the Theatre of Greens, in Plymouth, offering access to areas usually off limits to the public.
Home Park is opening its doors for a guided tour on Wednesday 16 September, from 13:30 to 16:30. It's the home of Plymouth Argyle, the club we know as 'The Pilgrims', a professional side that goes back to 1886 and currently competes in EFL League One. The tour takes you behind the scenes at the Theatre of Greens, into the areas that are usually off limits to the public: the media suite, the home and away dressing rooms, the pitchside surroundings and the trophy cabinet.
If you've only ever seen the ground from the stands, this is your chance to see how it works from the inside. You'll get a look at the rooms where the players prepare, the space where the press gather, and the trophy cabinet that holds the club's silverware. It's a guided walk, so you'll be led through the different sections rather than just left to wander.
Home Park sits on the edge of Central Park, the largest park in Plymouth, which was created in 1928. It's not far from The Box, the city's award-winning museum, art gallery and archive, so it's an easy enough trip to combine with a visit there if you're making a day of it. The tour runs on Wednesday afternoons, with this one on 16 September, followed by others on 28 October and 25 November.
