A stand-up comedy show hosted by Steve 'Stavros' Parrish featuring Henry Cole, a veteran of the British television and film industry.
Henry Cole is coming to The Quad Theatre on Thursday 29 October, with his show An Evening with Henry Cole - Happy Days. It's a two-hour run, 19:30 to 21:30, and the whole thing is hosted by Steve 'Stavros' Parrish, a close friend of Cole's who also plays the prankster throughout the night.
Cole has spent over 32 years working in television and film, so the evening draws on a long career behind the scenes. He's not a household name in the way the people he's worked with are, but he's been in the industry since the early nineties. There's also a bit of a school-days connection to the mix: he was educated at Eton alongside Boris Johnson and David Cameron, and that's something that comes up as part of the story.
With Parrish on hosting duties, the night is set up as a conversation between two old friends rather than a formal Q&A. Parrish is described as a prankster, so expect the banter to be as much a part of the evening as the stories themselves. It's less of a lecture and more of a long-form chat about a life spent in the television and movie business, with Parrish keeping things loose.
