A family-friendly workshop combining a farm quest with seasonal nature art using natural produce and farm finds.
Rooted Ways are bringing a family workshop to Pip's Pick Your Own on Saturday 25 July, from 13:30 to 16:00. It's a two-and-a-half-hour session run as part of their Rooted Ways initiative, and it's designed for families to spend an afternoon together out on the farm.
The day starts with a farm quest: children get a map and head off to explore the grounds, following the clues to find their way around. Once that's done, the focus shifts to a seasonal nature art session. The art is made from natural materials and 'waste' produce gathered from the farm—things like berries and other farm finds—so it's more about working with what's on hand than anything you'd buy in a shop. There are also nature-inspired games mixed in, so it's not just sitting and making things for the whole afternoon.
It's an in-person workshop, and the whole thing takes place at Pip's Pick Your Own, which you'll find behind Bens Farm Shop in Plymouth, Devon, PL8 2LT. If you're coming from the city centre, it's a bit of a trip out, but that's half the point of a farm day.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Plymouth and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
