An informal networking event exploring how Plymouth's historic waterfront spaces are adapting for the future, with local speakers and complimentary nibbles.
Climate Connections Plymouth are hosting another Climate Mingle at Tinside Lido on Thursday 23 July, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. It's a free networking evening on The Hoe, and the theme this time is how Plymouth's historic seafront spaces, buildings and coastline are adapting for the future.
The evening is built around two local speakers. Graham from LHC Design will talk through the refurbishment and regeneration of Tinside Lido itself, so you'll be hearing about the very building you're standing in. Jon from Plymouth Sound National Marine Park will be there to talk about the Stay Salty campaign, which is all about connecting people with the Sound and encouraging action to protect the marine environment. Between the two, you'll get a look at how the city is thinking about its waterfront from both the built and the natural side.
It's an informal setup, so it's as much about the people as the talks. There are complimentary nibbles on the night, and the whole thing is run as a chance for local people to connect and chat. If you're already interested in how the city is changing, it's a good spot to meet others who are thinking about the same things.
