An immersive evening featuring a talk from the Ocean Conservation Trust, a guided tasting of Sea Change wine and Sharpham cheese, a creative activity, and a 360 screening of Our Story with David Attenborough.
The Market Hall in Devonport is hosting Cheese, Wine & Film: An Immersive Evening Inspired by David Attenborough on Friday 7 August, a night that pulls together local food, award-winning wine and a 360° screening of Our Story.
The evening starts with a talk from the Ocean Conservation Trust, followed by a guided tasting of Sea Change Wine paired with cheeses from Sharpham Dairy. Sea Change is an award-winning brand that supports marine conservation, and Sharpham is a B Corp-certified producer and one of Devon's most celebrated artisan cheesemakers, so the tasting sits right alongside the night's focus on the natural world. There's also a creative activity and immersive projection mapping before the main feature.
That feature is Our Story with David Attenborough, a 50-minute filmic piece shown inside the Market Hall's immersive dome. It follows Sir David as he draws on a lifetime of exploration to tell a tale of people and planet, combining science, storytelling and spectacular visuals. The 360° format means the images wrap around you rather than sitting on a flat screen, so you're inside the story rather than just watching it.
