A live jazz tribute with a band of saxophone and trumpet players and powerhouse vocalists reimagining the songs of Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong.
The Jazz Room brings a tribute to Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong to the Omni William Penn Hotel on Saturday, January 30, 2027. It's a live show built around two of the most influential names in jazz, with a full band on stage rather than just a singer. The setlist pulls from the standards both men made famous: "Fly Me to the Moon," "My Way," "What a Wonderful World," and "When You're Smiling" are all on the bill.
Behind the vocals is a live band of world-class musicians, with saxophones and trumpets leading the way. The arrangement leans into spontaneous improvisation, so the songs don't just follow the records—they breathe and change as the night goes on. The room is kept intimate, with low lighting and immersive sound, keeping the focus on the music.
The venue is the Omni William Penn Hotel at 530 William Penn Place in downtown Pittsburgh. It's a 1916 Renaissance Revival landmark by Benno Janssen and Franklin Abbott, with Beaux-Arts and Art Deco details and a two-tiered Grand Ballroom. The show starts at 8:30 PM and runs for about an hour.
