Monthly community dinner hosted by the ODEI Lounge at Chatham University, open to everyone.
The Queer Family Dinner is back at the ODEI Lounge on Wednesday, October 21, from 5 PM to 7 PM. It's part of a monthly series hosted by the lounge, which is the student space for Chatham University's Department of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The dinner is open to everyone, so you don't have to be a student or part of any particular group to pull up a chair.
To get your bearings on the space, the ODEI Lounge is in Woodland Hall at 191 Chapel Hill Rd in Pittsburgh. It's set up for hanging out as much as for studying: comfortable furniture, a water cooler, a refrigerator, a TV, and a coffee maker, with a quiet study area tucked in alongside. The lounge serves as a gathering place for ODEI programs, and the family dinners are one of them—specifically for LGBTQ+ students and students of color, though the series is open to anyone who wants to join.

If you're coming from across town, it's in the Woodland Hall building on the Chatham campus. The dinner runs from 5 PM to 7 PM, so it's a mid-week thing that fits right into the dinner hour. It's a simple, open-door community meal in a space that's built for students to gather and be around each other.
