Two holiday music concerts by the Pitt Treble Choral Ensemble and the Pitt Men's Glee Club at the historic First Baptist Church on N. Bellefield Ave.
The Pitt Treble Choral Ensemble and the Pitt Men's Glee Club are coming together for a holiday concert at First Baptist Church of Pittsburgh on Saturday, December 5. It's a joint bill that brings two of the university's choral groups onto the same stage, and they're playing the same program twice in one day: once at 3 PM and again at 8 PM. If you're out and about on a Saturday afternoon, the matinee works; if you'd rather make an evening of it, the later show is there.
The program is holiday music, and the two groups are sharing the billing. The Treble Choral Ensemble is directed by Lorraine Milovac, and the Men's Glee Club is directed by Richard Teaster. Both are part of the university's music scene, which pulls together students from across campus regardless of their major. Between the two of them, they cover a wide range of styles—Western art music, jazz, folk, popular music, and music from non-Western cultures—so while this particular concert is focused on the holidays, it's part of a broader choral program that reaches well beyond the seasonal.

The venue is the First Baptist Church of Pittsburgh at 159 N Bellefield Ave, just beyond the Music Building on campus. It's a historic space, and since the two concerts are identical, you only need to pick one. Tickets are $17 for adults and $12 for children and seniors, and there's no cost for Pitt students. Seating is limited, so getting yours in advance is a good call if you're planning to go.
