Hands-on cooking class with Chef Natalie to make homemade pierogi from scratch, from rolling the dough to shaping and cooking the dumplings.
In The Kitchen is hosting a pierogi making class on Thursday, October 22, from 6 PM to 8 PM. It's built around a Pittsburgh favorite: learning to make homemade pierogi from start to finish, and Chef Natalie is the one leading the way.
It's a hands-on session, not a demonstration. You'll walk through every stage of the process, starting with rolling the dough from scratch, then preparing a classic filling, shaping each dumpling by hand, and finally cooking them to perfection. The class is pitched for curious learners and skill-builders rather than experienced cooks, so you'll spend the evening rolling, filling, and folding your way through one of Eastern Europe's most beloved comfort foods.
If you're planning to go, there are a few practical things to keep in mind. Aprons can be reserved in advance, which is a good call since you'll be working with dough and filling. Doors open twenty minutes before the session, and the class begins promptly at 6 PM, so you'll want to give yourself a little buffer to get settled before things kick off.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Pittsburgh and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
