Free, informal one-hour lunchtime opera concert by Pittsburgh Opera's Resident Artists, followed by a reception.
Pittsburgh Opera's Resident Artists are performing their next Song Shop concert on Saturday, November 7, at the George R. White Opera Studio inside the Bitz Opera Factory at 2425 Liberty Avenue. It's a free, one-hour performance that starts at 12 PM, and you'll need to RSVP to get in.
If you haven't been to a Song Shop before, here's the deal: they're informal lunchtime concerts given by the company's Resident Artists. They run for an hour on selected Saturdays, they're open to everyone, and the theme changes from one concert to the next. Because of that, the opera company suggests bringing a friend and packing a lunch to eat while you listen. After the performance, FRIENDS of Pittsburgh Opera host a reception, so there's a bit of socializing to go with the music. The series is supported in part by a public grant from the Allegheny Regional Asset District (RAD).
