Weekly noon student engagement session with a craft, treat or tarot pull at the Carriage House student lounge at Chatham University.
Marvelous Monday returns to the Carriage House on Monday, October 26, from 12 PM to 2 PM. It's part of a weekly series run by the Office of Student Engagement at Chatham University, and the whole thing is built around a simple, self-aware premise: bringing some fun and freshness to what's widely called the worst day of the week.
Each session centers on a noontime activity—a craft, a treat, or a tarot pull—that changes from week to week. It's the kind of low-stakes, mid-day break that works best when you're already on campus and just need a reason to step away from your desk for an hour or two. If you've been before, you know the drill: show up, hang out, and do whatever the day's activity happens to be.
The venue itself has a bit of a story. The Carriage House at 109 Woodland Road once housed Andrew Mellon's horses; these days, it's Chatham's largest student lounge, a place where students eat and relax between classes. It's open 24 hours a day with a student ID, and it shares the building with the Chatham Activities Board, the student government, the Office of Student Engagement, and the Office of Resident Life. It's a hub for campus life, and Marvelous Monday is just one of the things that happens there.

Beyond the weekly noontime sessions, there's plenty more going on around campus: more than 50 student organizations, a student choir, and 24 NCAA Division III sports teams. If you're looking for a way to spend your Monday lunch hour, you can find Marvelous Monday at the Carriage House on October 26, from 12 PM to 2 PM.
