Fifth edition of the Halloween Bar Crawl on the South Side, with a wristband for five bars, welcome shots, Halloween drink specials and free cover at participating venues.
Twelve Whiskey Barbecue is the starting point for the Halloween Bar Crawl on Friday, Oct 30, and Saturday, Oct 31. It's the fifth year the crawl has run, and it takes over the South Side, one of the city's most popular neighborhoods, with more than five of its best bars on a single wristband. The whole thing is run by Downtown Crawl, whose Instagram handle is @downtowncrawlers.
Costumes are encouraged as an icebreaker, and the night's hallmarks are welcome shots and treats, signature Halloween drink specials, and free cover at participating venues. There's also professional event photography throughout. If you do dress up, you can tag @downtowncrawlers to enter the costume contest, with winners announced the week after the crawl.

Both nights run from 5 PM to 12 AM, but there's a mandatory check-in between 5 PM and 8 PM, so you'll want to get to Twelve Whiskey Barbecue early enough to get your wristband before the window closes. Tickets are $23.11, and group tickets of four or more save 20%.
