Free fall job fair presented by Jewish Family and Community Services (JFCS) Pittsburgh at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh.
Jewish Family and Community Services (JFCS) Pittsburgh is hosting a Fall Job Fair at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh - Main in Oakland on Friday, October 23. It runs from 11 AM to 2 PM, so it's a midday thing rather than an after-work one. The fair is free and open to the public, and while registration is recommended, walk-ins are welcome.
JFCS has been around since 1937, and the job fair is just one part of what they do. They're a nonprofit that works with people and families going through life's changes and challenges, and their range of social services covers a lot of ground: refugee resettlement, immigration legal services, food pantries, counseling and therapy, and employment services. If you're looking for work, the employment services side of things is where this fair fits in.
Their immigration work has been in the local news recently, too. Sarah Hough, the Director of Immigration Legal Services at JFCS, received the Allegheny County Bar Association's 2026 Edward G. O'Connor Award for her advocacy on behalf of vulnerable community members. It's a nice reminder of the kind of work that happens behind the scenes at the organization.
