A comedy speaker series where comedians present slideshows on niche interests and intrusive thoughts, curated and moderated by Alyssa Moon and Mike DiGuglielmo.
Electric Slideshow returns to Arcade Comedy Theater on Friday, October 16, at 9 PM. It's a speaker series built in the image of TED Talks, which the venue describes as being meticulously designed to educate and inspire around the mission "Ideas Worth Spreading." In that same spirit, the show hands the floor to comedians rather than academics, who present slideshows built around the theme "Niche Interests and Intrusive Thoughts That Should Maybe Be Kept To Yourself."
For this edition, the presentations come from Abigail Elias, Dave Stewart, and Rachel Bachy. Each one brings their own specific obsession to the screen, and the whole thing is curated and moderated by Arcade regulars Alyssa Moon and Mike DiGuglielmo. If you've seen it before, you know the format: a comedian standing next to a slide deck, talking their way through a topic they're far too passionate about, with Moon and DiGuglielmo keeping things moving between sets.
